Fuzz Alert lets users locate approaching speed traps, and red light cameras etc... Fuzz Alert Pro – radar mode, background mode ( with device support), map, pimp it, and animated voices. Fuzz Alert – “free” comes with map, pimp it, and animated voices.
The goal of the app is to put power into the drivers’ hands to make them drive safer and more alert to their surroundings. Using audio alerts for drivers to use caution in certain areas. Drivers are sharing information on conditions and enforcement areas which are constantly changing to make the roads safer. FUZZ ALERT’S mission is to be one of those navigational, information tools for responsible driving. Making drivers more aware of their speed and surroundings will help reduce accidents, fatalities and safer roads. We don’t require you to register to try the application.
Features:
Radar Mode: Pro version only - Radar Mode is a simpler way to be notified of areas of caution. Audio cues will let you know when speed zones are nearby. When caution areas approach, the pace will quicken, alerting you to a potential police enforcement area may exist.
• Radar Mode provides visual and audio feedback when issues are known to be nearby.
• Red glow is displayed in a progressively intense manner as the location gets nearer.
• An audio “ping” plays rapidly as the location gets closer.
Background Mode: Pro version only
• Instead of closing the app by hitting the home button, the user can elect to send the application into the background by tapping “background”.
Map Mode: To report a trap, click the + button when you are next to one, or double-tap the map to specify one precisely where you saw it.
• The following traps will be displayed on the map with unique icons: Red Light Cameras, Speed Cameras etc...
• When a user comes within a certain distance of a zone, the alert will occur:
Verifying: You can verify zones by double tapping an existing icon to let other users know if it is still active, not active.
Pimp-It: Registration is required to use Pimp It. Once registered, youll get a classic car and be able to pimp it out by reporting traps and getting positive feedback!
• Active users will be able to build out a sweet new ride with this feature.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Pros and cons of Fuzz Alert Pro speed trap app for iPhone and iPad
Fuzz Alert Pro speed trap app good for
Excellent to let people know when they need to slow down or not try to run an intersection.
The presence of cops in traffic causes congestion and wastes my time and money (my job has me on the road more than the average individual).
I also like the radar mode which actually alerts you to the presence of the various hazards.
Hopefully this app will improve road safety. Because we know roadblocks, red light cameras and radar traps are about improving road safety!
My thanks to the developer!
I wouldnt drive without it. A great community of users makes this work so well. It will be a flawless system as more and more drivers join.
We love it! And also have a suggestion to the development team: Road Hazard could have three options to choose from. Just so we know type of hazard we are dealing with ahead of time. (1) accident (2) wildlife (3) road incident ~washouts, flooding, sinkholes, cracks, etc~
Some bad moments
Useless app, shows red light camera but none there
Fraudulent
app !
Dont get sucked in
Developers gave up the ghost (and their website). Just saying. App was marginally useful, when the developers were actually supporting it.
Wish I would have read reviews before paying the dollar I spent on this worthless app. Awesome idea if it would just work. False alarms everywhere!
A total waste of money. It will tell about a lot of cops (that arent there). But doesnt tell you about the one driving by you. One star is giving it too much credit
The long hold on the map to report a trap is a good feature, good but not great. The map view needs to have a "no sleep" mode. If Im driving and see a trap, I dont want to have to hit the home button, slide the unlock, enter a password and then long hold on the map to report the trap. Thats an accident waiting to happen. So, suggestion 1. No Sleep mode, so I can simply reach up and long hold on my location to report the trap.
Also, a 3D map view when driving would be ideal. Sort of like a GPS view that also allows a long hold to report (and of course this view would also be "no sleep").
Sure, those things require more power. However, I dont know about other users but when Im driving I usually have my phone plugged into my car charger.
This app is so professional. And it is very easy to use. It let me locate approaching red light camera and speed traps. It works very very stably on my iPhone.
